Message from Ristorante Cavour at the Hotel Granduca
Enjoy Ristorante Cavour, Hotel Granduca?s first signature restaurant, under the direction of Executive Chef David Denis, the chef and owner of the highly-acclaimed French restaurant Le Mistral in Houston. Ristorante Cavour offers unique Northern Italian cuisine with a French accent. The warm, intimate restaurant is the vision of Giorgio Borlenghi with design of Ermy Borlenghi Bonfield?the talent behind the design of the entire hotel. In keeping with the old-world Tuscan feel, the space is small and intimate with warm colors, flickering candlelight and antique prints gracing the walls. The name of the restaurant was inspired by, Camillo Benso, conte di Cavour, the former Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Piedmont-Sardinia. He worked in Torino under King Victor Emanuel II and is known for unifying Italy in 1861. Count Cavour became, in that year, the first Prime Minister of Italy.
