Instead, the portions are plenty substantial to leave you sated with room for creme brulee, a tart key lime pie, or an incredibly sinful bananas flambe with fresh cream, ice cream, and strawberries. more»

Message from Trios Grill
Chef Hector Angeles and Co-Owner Mary Fishel opened Trios Grill in May 2007. Trios Grill offers Casual New American/Southwest Cuisine in an upscale relaxed in-door setting and tropical, resort outdoor atmosphere. Our outdoor dining includes covered and open patios, gazebo, bar, fireplace, and water walls.
Enjoy creative dishes beautifully prepared to order by Chef Hector. Signature dishes include lobster tacos, crab cakes, fresh fish, tender fajitas and tortilla soup. Trios Grill also offers Prime Filet Mignon, Rib Eye, Veal Marsala and a variety of other tropical not typical dishes. Also, voted #1 in 5 categories in The Best Southwest Readers Choice Awards. Savor the flavorful Margaritas or Mojitos with fresh grown mint.
Don’t miss the fun, friendly ambience Trios Grill has to offer. One of Cedar Hill’s best kept secrets. Trios Grill is conveniently located at 316 Cooper St. off HWY 67. Open daily 4:00 pm to 6:30pm for Happy Hour / Dinner 5:00pm to 10:00pm Phone 972-293-3535. Trios Grill.com
What our customers have to say:
Trio's owner, Hector, is a 5-star chef. This restaurant is about as trendy as Cedar Hill gets. Prices are higher, but the menu selection is also more like what you'd find at an upscale restaurant in uptown Dallas. However, don't expect 5-star service...this is Cedar Hill, after all, and not uptown Dallas.
Here! Here! I agree that Trios Grill is a well kept secret in Cedar Hill. Great drinks and ambience. Whatever early issues they may have had, they have certainly been worked out. We went there for my wife's birthday. The food and service were excellent. For those that remember and liked Casa Del Lago, they won't be disappointed here. So while the overall theme may be Southwestern cuisine, there is plenty more to choose from. Atmosphere is nice and comfortable. We ate inside and it was like being a guest in a good friend’s home. We will definitely go back.
I just came home from having a wonderful dinner at Trios. I truly enjoyed my first visit. The combination fajitas are so tender and well-seasoned. Also, the lobster tacos and enchilada del mar (I think that is the right dish, it's the seafood enchiladas) were rated highly. It's a cozy, quaint little spot inside but outside has to be the happening area on a nice day. We arrived at 5 so it was not crowded but it grew as we left. Oh and the waitstaff is superb! You must check it out.
We have followed Hector to three different restaurants and we'll keep following him! Whenever we've lost track of him, we hunt him down until we snag him again. Yes, he's that good! A 5-star chef who hails from the Mansion and (I think) the Anatole Hotel's Nana Grill, his food is not only absolutely delicious, but beautifully presented. Add to that a friendly (if a wee bit inexperienced but working hard to learn) wait staff and extremely reasonable prices, and who cares about a few flies?!! (Hint: It's called eating outside.) Fortunately, with indoor and outdoor seating, Trios gives you a choice. Inside, you can watch Hector and staff preparing your meal through a window that looks right into the kitchen. Or you can mosey outside and join the lively scene at the bar. If you're looking for tacky Tex-Mex, this is not the place. But if you're looking for a five-star spin on a two-star budget, Trios is absolutely the place to check out.
