Message from Harry's Detour
When you are looking for a truly unique dining experience, look no further than Harry's Detour at either location in Midtown Memphis or Downtown Memphis. In 2001, owners Chuck Gross and Harry Nicholas, turned and old Midtown house into what has become a favorite dining destination for Memphians and visitors to the area. Natives of Memphis, they saw the upcoming growth of the downtown area and opened a second location in the arts district at 106 G.E. Patterson just East of South Main.Since then, owner, Harry Nicholas was killed in a tragic accident, but co-owner Chuck Gross has continued the creative, tantalizing flavors that made Harry's Detour a success. The menu is truly unique. It offers a fusion of many different cuisine types. You are sure to find something you have never had before. Owner Chuck Gross' philosophy is that if they get bored with cooking something, their guests probably get bored with eating it, so although some menu items remain the same, always look for the new culinary delights created by Chuck and his staff. So if you are in a culinary rut, visit either of the Harry's Detour Restaurants in Midtown or Downtown Memphis.
