The "Founding Family" of the Philadelphia steak sandwich. Back in 1932, Pat Olivieri, created the world's first steak sandwich. Pat's son, Herb, joined him in expanding the family business, and at age 14, Herb's son, Rick, joined him in grilling up great steak sandwiches in the City of Brotherly Love. Now in it's third generation, Rick Olivieri man's the grill at "Rick's Steaks" Downstairs at the Bellevue Hotel (Formerly at Reading Termianl Market). "Rick's" serves up top quality chuck-eye steak, 100% chicken breast steaks, and Vegan "steaks" made with Seitan. The Olivieri family tradition lives on!
