The wine we selected was nice, if very expensive. more»
The Tasting Room's Service - Select CommentsThe service was nice , the decor cozy , but the food was laughable -- the pork and fish were just okay , and the radish salad semi-edible. more»
His service was great , passionately guiding us through the ' process ' of designing our dinner. more»
The Tasting Room's Ambiance - Select CommentsThe rustic charm of the popular original made the move to Nolita as well , with wood-beamed walls , cork-topped tables , and quirky paintings strewn throughout a walk-in friendly front niche and lively main dining room. more»
Message from The Tasting Room
The Tasting Room Restaurant in New York City's NoLita offers a daily changing seasonal menu accompanied by a wine list that emphasizes artisanal and small-scale wineries. There is also a full bar featuring hand-crafted cocktails with homemade mixers and fresh ingredients. The restaurant is the sister of the neighborhood favorite, The Tasting Room Wine Bar & Cafe at 72 E.1st Street. Chef/Owner Colin Alevras and his wife Renee Alevras opened The Tasting Room Wine Bar & Cafe in late 1999 and The Tasting Room Restaurant & Bar in the summer of 2006. They continue to welcome guests with warm hearts and honest food & wine at both locations. Colin and his cooks shop daily for ingredients at the local farmer's markets
