Founders and sisters Haley and Lauren Fox made one of their life long dreams come true with the opening of Alice's Tea Cup, an enchanting tea room, restaurant and storefront on the Upper West Side. Located on 73rd Street just off of Columbus Ave., Alice's Tea Cup offers full afternoon tea service all day, breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert and a to-go tea counter along with a fanciful array of goods available for sale in its front shop. Borrowing ideas and imagery from Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, Haley and Lauren have created a neighborly spot with both the sophistication of afternoon tea at a lovely hotel and the fantasy of the Mad Hatter's tea party. With over 100 teas to choose from as well as a full menu with a personality that, through taste, texture and presentation playfully mimics the aesthetic of Carroll's tale, Alice's Tea Cup is a comfortable and whimsical haven for adults and children alike. Some additional savory offerings include Herbed Tea Egg Salad (with watercress on potato bread), Albacore Tuna (with capers, cornichons, shallots and Dijon on whole wheat), French Ham Gruyere and Whole Grain Mustard (on seven grain) and the Croque Monsieur and Croque Madame.
