It all started when I was a young child helping my grandpa cook BBQ. My grandpa, "Quillie" Gray of Snow Hill, NC was pretty well known for his barbecue. Growing up with grandpa I learned that time and patience are the first ingredients for good barbecue.Grandpa Quillie and I talked of one day opening our own barbecue house.Unfortunately, grandpa passed away before this ever happened. Opening Old Time Barbecue became a quest for me. After several years of banks telling me no, I was in the right place at the right time. Ole Time Barbecue opened on May 10, 1993 and after 12 years we still love every moment.We have worked hard to keep Grandpa's Ole Time traditions in our food and service.
