In 1884, Ernesto Larco came to America and started a tradition. Using old-world family recipes, he opened popular restaurants along the East Coast, raised a family, and passed on his recipes to his sons Pete, Mike and Nick. After the Great Depression and serving in the armed forces in World War II, his sons carried on the tradition started by their father and opened Larco?s Inn in Detroit. Today, the kind of fine cuisine that Ernesto Larco first served back in the ?roaring twenties? lives on in relaxed, inviting settings that have long been the hallmark of the restaurants that bear his name: Larco?s Italian Chophouse in Troy and Larco?s Italian Grill in West Bloomfield. With the help of Chef Peter Larco ? a fourth-generation family member ?
