Message from Chris McGurrin's
The pub and restaurant is operated by Gary Mirto and Miles Vieau. The two partners have been friends for many years and had a dream to open an Irish pub and restaurant. Both of their mother's are Irish and with this common bond, the planning began. After searching for the right location, they agreed that Hartland would be the ideal place to realize their dream. But, tragically in July, 2002, Gary's only son, Christopher, died in a motorcycle accident at the age of 20. Miles wanted to dedicate the restaurant in Chris' memory, thus the name Chris McGurrin's.The theme behind Chris McGurrin's is to capture Celtic history and to welcome guests to come enjoy great food, a pint of beer, an historical atmosphere, and feel like part of a family. The many artifacts, shields, banners, and pictures capture the history and culture of the Celtic/Irish people. The mixture of barn wood and dark hard wood create an inviting and relaxing environment while the fireplace provides a warm place to enjoy a meal and some drinks. The booths or "settles" provide some historical information with family crests and Irish 'clan' plaids on the seat backs. The bar is a replica of the Collins Bar in Cork, Ireland and was built by a local Hartland craftsman. There was a great deal of love and care put into the design and layout of Chris McGurrin's. The staff is here to ensure your family and friends enjoy a pleasant dining experience.
