Message from Seasons of Japan
Seasons of Japan Bistro is delightful! It is exotic and elegant in design (in a former theater), sophisticated and relaxing décor, with waterfalls and ponds, against a background of soothing music. The entire Seasons visit combines into a rewarding and entertaining experience, a celebration in the catalog of Savannah's restaurants.

Owner, Toshi Hirata started in the restaurant business at 23 years old in Kobe City, Japan. At 29 years old, he turned golf professional. You may have seen him on the Golf channel as a golf analyzer. In 1999 Hirata opened Kyoto Express (now Seasons of Japan Express) on the Southside of Savannah. With a decided bent toward Japanese, Seasons of Japan Bistro downtown includes a Pan- Asian menu including Malaysian and Thai. Selecting a favorite dish or a favorite country's cuisine is a challenge! The Sushi (Japanese) menu is extensive using only the freshest ingredients and seafood like you find in larger cities like New York, Toronto and San Francisco all imported from Japan, like fresh Japanese snapper and real crab meat. Now Savannah is being treated to the finest sushi available.

Seasons offers several Kaiseki appetizers, a traditional Japanese cuisine. Kaiseki is known for its fresh seasonal ingredients and are prepared to enhance the flavor. Exquisite care is taken in selecting ingredients and types of food, and finished dishes are carefully presented on serving ware that is chosen to enhance the appearance and seasonal theme. Dishes are beautifully arranged and garnished, often with real leaves and flowers, as well as edible garnishes designed to resemble natural plants and animals. The serving ware and garnishes are as much a part of the kaiseki experience as the food. Seasons will offer over 1000 Kaiseki dishes and the daily selection will be up to the chef, so each visit to Seasons will be a new experience.
