The bottom part is the most formal, more elegant atmosphere, and the top terrace and mid-level bar area are for more casual meals or drinks. more»

I had no intention of ever returning ( there are far more delicious and innovative restaurants in La Jolla and San Diego for the same price or less _ for instance , Tapenade and Nine-Ten _ and far better environments for expensive food with good service , like Bertrand at Mr. A's ). more»
I tried downstairs at George's for a special occasion five years ago , and found it totally overrated and overpriced _ worse view and atmosphere than upstairs , more expensive and less interesting food , service not worth the elevated prices , neither exciting nor really elegant. more»

It was fairly congested on the terrace _ tables very close together and if you were n't right next to the plexiglass , the view was pretty , but you had a lot of tables and people between you and the ocean. more»
We had about a 30 minute wait when we arrived , and we were pointed toward the bar -- the bar area had amazing wall-to-wall windows which provided an amazing view of the sun setting over the ocean. more»
