Paying homage to the owners' Austrian roots, the sublime new menu consists largely of flavorful European-style offerings ; fresh croissants ( pain au chocolate, sugar brioche, et al . ) Sandwiches meld sweet tastes like fig compote and lingonberry sauce with fresh meats like turkey and chicken bratwurst to make incredible meals. Salads are superbly crafted with homemade dressings, and the outdoor patio and friendly staff seal the deal.

The staff was nice enough and my drinks were delicious, though a little pricey! Skybar has best parties in the city. In fact, the staff was pretty friendly. To go with the recent rehaul of the Mondrian hotel ( including newly furnished rooms, a brand new lobby bar by the name of ADCB and an updated Asia de Cuba ), the ivy-covered patio still offers some of the best views -- and people-watching -- in town. This is a great looking place with an awesome view of L.A. The service was much better than one would expect in a bar with such a reputation for being snooty.
