New (to us, at least) Restaurant Opening, Wed, Oct 24, '07: Porterhouse @ 60 E Third Ave.

The New York Steak with peppercorn sauce lacked flavor and was tough, the Cowboy Steak ( highly recommended by the waiter ) was flavorful but on the thin side which is a crime in a steak house. Oysters : great Onion Soup : fair at best Prime Rib : almost great Creamed Spinach : bad ( it was cold, otherwise it would have been good ) Baked Potato : good Bread Pudding : great ( actually awesome ) Service excellent despite a couple of minor mix-ups with 2 of the orders which were quickly resolved.
