I read about this place in our local music guide paper ie Metro so I decided to go try this place out for myself since we have a hard time trying to find good Jerk chicken. Alcoholic or non -, the drinks are delicious desserts but add $ 8-9 per drink. Coconuts has all of the delectable authentic favorites served at the Menlo location ( jerk chicken & pork, ox tail, corn festivals ) with a faux tropical atmosphere and friendly staff.

Late summer we enjoyed a most tasty gazpacho there, but it disappeared from the menu in the fall. The Kobe burgers were fantastic, the trio of raw fish was super and the salads were hearty. Great service but the price of being overly `` in'' is that it's really, really noisy. The atmosphere is more upscale, but seems a bit out of place for University Ave - the bar offers an albeit younger crowd version of Zbibbo.

They have pretty good sushi, but I would say their cooked dishes are better. Best sushi in Palo Alto. Very hip decor, helpful staff.
